ABOUT

WHERE:   BRIDGES CENTRE, EDENBRIDGE

WHEN:      FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH

WHAT:     The Dandelion Café provides a monthly opportunity for older adults to enjoy socialising                                in a nurturing, creative environment

PROJECT ASPIRATIONS

Applying a person-centred approach to supporting older people in a creative and social environment while enlivening 'consciousness in community’.

Older adults of all abilities are welcome and no previous artistic experience is necessary.

PRACTICALITIES

For anyone supporting a friend or loved one with Dementia, please understand that the Café is not a respite day centre. The Café endeavours to be as inclusive as possible and will support individuals to the best of our ability, but may need to call upon the friend/family carer during the session for any personal assistance to ensure respect and dignity is preserved.

It can be an opportunity for you to be as involved as much or as little as you choose to during the afternoon's session, depending on the level of support your friend or loved one requires.

There is a seating area adjacent to where the activity takes place for you to be close enough to provide support if the need arises, but also to take the opportunity for you to have a cuppa, relax and perhaps meet other friends/family carers.
