ABOUT

BRIDGES DANDELION CAFÉ is held on the FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH at the BRIDGES CENTRE.

DANDELION CAFÉ uses the Bridges Centre, Edenbridge to host a monthly cafe for older adults who would both enjoy and benefit from socialising in a nurturing, creative environment.

Older adults of all abilities are welcome and no previous artistic experience is necessary.

PROJECT ASPIRATIONS

Applying a person-centred approach to supporting older people in a creative and social environment while enlivening 'consciousness in community’.

For anyone supporting a friend or loved one with Dementia, please understand that the Café is not a respite day centre, but can be an opportunity for you to be as involved as much or as little as you choose to during the afternoon's session, depending on the level of support your friend or loved one requires.

There is a seating area adjacent to where lunch and the activity will take place for you to be close enough to provide  support if the need arises, but also to take the opportunity for you to have a cuppa, relax and perhaps meet other friend/family carers.

The Café endeavours to be as inclusive as possible and will support individuals to the best of our ability, but may need to call upon the friend/family carer during the session for any personal assistance to ensure respect and dignity is preserved.

Friend/Family Carers will be kindly asked to please bring their own packed lunch. Tea/Coffee is a avialble by donation.
